I should be able to arrange a trip to the lake without problems.

But some one going with must be rather ok translating English to French as I can do 0...

Trips I make I try to Work out with the Group to try and plan out from everyones wishes.

By memory http://www.abysse-cichlides.com/ is dealer of fishes from station where I also get mine, so visitors should be able to arrange to get fish they catch tru them.

In Danish kr it is arround 20000 and if we use a changerate at 7,4 to get Euro it is arround 2702,71 back in 2010

BUT that is flight from Denmark and you have to go from France so might be some difference

Accomodation in Malawi, including transport arround by car and boat diving, is 2000 euro's
= free diving, guides (me and divers as we use them) , food and lodging

Excluded are soft drinks, beer, fish.
Transport of fish out of country that You must arrange with Mr. Eric Zeitoun

Of cause vaccinations and gear you have to get as well

Oh gorgot to write that prices may go up/Down depending on how much you want to do in Malawi as fuel is a killer on the Cash!

Fuel prices are higher that here in Europe and they get worse octane that smell really bad...

That last trip was mostly Chipoka , Chidunga, Nakantenga Island and eastcoast Namitumbu, Chiofu
We got stranded on last trip up to Benga (Nkhomo Reef) due to bad weather - 3 days on a Beach with 0 chance of diving...

This is more like the 2000 euro trip:
Kadango(Deep South end) + car to pick us up there due to bad weather, Shire River safari, Chidunga and Maleri's and East coast

Hello

I am so afraid by bilharzia into the lake.
Is it very dangerous to dive ? Do you know people who catch this disease ?

Thank you

Hi

I haven't heard of anybody getting it, if you do it's only a small pill and you are rid of it

The medication is Prazinquel and by memory Aquarium Münster also uses that in one of their fish medications.

If you use google for Schistosomasis or snailfever that gives a lot of hits:

At moment Mozambique is a problem as you need lots of permits and aren't allowed to catch fish there.

And next problem is why go to the lake and not dive - so contact with Water you can't avoid.

Diving at remote Places shouldn't give problems as well away from beaches where there's lot of people.

My trips usually are away from people accept from entering and leaving boat from Beach and maybe 1-3 meters out.
That is short time in that Water so I'm not worried

But diving at night can get you into problems with hippos and crocs!
